BCPA Annual General Meeting

Weston Hall Hotel
The 2010 Annual General Meeting will be held at the Best Western – Weston Hall Hotel, Bulkington, Coventry, on Saturday 22nd May 2010. This will be the central point of the weekend’s activities.

The Best Western – Weston Hall Hotel, part of the Best Western Group, is five miles from Coventry, so gives an ideal opportunity to visit Coventry City.

The original three-gabled building was built during the reign of Elizabeth I and still contains many original features and panelling. It is believed to be constructed from stone from the Zouches Castle that may once have stood on the site. Extensive alterations were made in the 19th and 20th centuries and the building enjoys a Grade II listing. On the carved wooden fireplace in the library and on the stone lintel above the entrance door, the motto Royall Loyall roughly translates to ‘fair or faithful home’

Weston Hall Hotel   Friday evening gives us all an opportunity to meet up with friends from previous years and/or to make new ones. Saturday morning is an ideal time to visit historic Coventry, look at the Cathedral, and to shop. Alternatively, people could visit Stratford.
On the Saturday afternoon we plan to have a speaker on a topic of interest to all just before the Annual General Meeting. An Open Session afterwards gives opportunity to ask questions about the Association and its activities. As always, Saturday evening will be the Gala Dinner.

Weston Hall Hotel   Charge for the weekend remain for the fifth year running remain a modest £60.00 per double room per night, single £50.00 per night. The Gala Dinner is £22.00 per person.
